WHAT IS A HORSE MATTRESS?

A horse mattress is equipped with the same filling material as our cow mattresses. However, horse mattresses differ in a few important ways. These mattresses consist of a rubber core filled with recycled rubber granules. On top of the filling, rubber shreds are spread to create a smooth and even surface. Above that lies a special, completely waterproof rubber top layer, which has been specifically developed for horses.

Where Are Horse Mattresses Used?

Our mattresses are ideal as foaling mattresses, as the comfort mattresses offer high rebound – simulating a natural pasture. They are primarily used in horse stalls, where they provide optimal support while standing, thanks to the flat surface.

They are also used in veterinary clinics, rehabilitation centers, and retirement homes for horses. When lying down on the mattress, stiff joints relax, which significantly shortens rehabilitation time. In France, our mattresses have also been installed in horse shelters.
